Arc Announces Community Award Winners

The Arc of Carroll County announces the winners of its annual Community Awards. The awards will be presented at The Arc’s Annual Dinner and Community Awards on May 11, 2010 at Martin’s Westminster. Awards and winners include:
- WAMM Special Appreciation Award – Karen Barbour, The Barbour Group, LLC
- WAMM Special Appreciation Award – Alicia Phillips
- Public Service Award – Gizmos Art
- Volunteer of the Year – Morgan Monroe
- Volunteer of the Year – Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Young Leaders Program
- Employer of the Year – Summerville at Westminster
- Spirit of Independence Award – Mike Ensor
- President’s Award – Jenny Dalrymple
- Special Education Professional of the Year – Becky Byers, William Winchester Elementary
- Timothy J. Atkinson Award for Advocacy – Earl Haines
The Annual Dinner and Community Awards is presented by W & W Auto and Tire Service. Tickets are $30 for Arc of Carroll County clients, staff and members; $10 for children 12 and under; and $50 for all others.
