Community Award Winners Announced

The Arc of Carroll County announces the winners of its Community Awards. The awards will be presented at The Arc’s Annual Dinner and Community Awards on May 12, 2009 at Martin’s Westminster. Awards and winners include:
· WAMM Special Appreciation Award – Jennifer Niesslein, Assistant Instructor for the Transition Program
· WAMM Special Appreciation Award – North Carroll Community School
· Public Service Award – Carroll County Times
· Volunteer of the Year – Marty Keirle
· Volunteer of the Year – Sherri Chavis
· Employer of the Year – Wendy’s Westminster
· Spirit of Independence Award – Tina South
· President’s Award – Rebecca Pearson, Support Services Program Coordinator
· Special Education Professional of the Year – Linda Shinderman, New Windsor Middle School
· Timothy J. Atkinson Award for Advocacy – Lisa Thompson, Health Services Coordinator
