The Arc of Carroll County’s Employee Graduates From Carroll Leadership Program

The Advocate of Westminster and Finksburg
7/16/2008

Westminster, Maryland, June 19, 2008 – Don Rowe, Executive Director of The Arc of Carroll County graduated from the Leadership Carroll Program co-sponsored by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Community College. Graduation ceremonies took place on June 10, 2008, after attending a full day session once a month from September, 2007 through June 2008.

The Arc of Carroll County sponsored Mr. Rowe for the 10 month program that provides existing and emerging leaders with a combination of leadership training and detailed knowledge of the community, including a description of the problems, opportunities and issues facing our community. Mr. Rowe found the program very insightful, and learned a lot about various businesses and industries in the county.

The Arc of the United States advocates for the full rights and participation of all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Together with their network of members and affiliated chapters, they improve systems of supports and services; connect families; inspire communities; and influence public policy.

Applications for the 2008-2009 Leadership Program are available from the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, 410/848-9050 or info@carrollcountychamber.org.
