1:1 Support Aides

The Arc of Carroll County, a leader in the field of direct care and advocacy for people with developmental disabilities has a need for part-time (24 hours per week) 1:1 Support Aides to provide supervision and support to clients in our Day Habilitation and Transition programs.  Ideal candidates will be versatile, flexible and patient.  Duties will include 1 to 1 assistance with daily living skills, personal care and behavior management.  We require a high school diploma or GED, one year experience working with persons who are developmentally disabled preferred, a clean driving record, with no more than 2 current points and the ability to life/move up to 40 lbs.  The completion of Arc-provided training is also required.  Starting wage is $10.00 per hour.

We require a high school diploma or GED and a clean driving record.  Salary is from $10.00 per hour and benefits include a generous contribution toward individual health insurance.

Community Living Assistants

The Arc of Carroll County has immediate openings for part-time Community Living Assistants in several of our ALU’s assisting adults with developmental disabilities.  Duties will include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families.  We require a high school diploma or GED and a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required.  The Arc provides benefits for employees scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week.  Hours are primarily early mornings, evenings and weekends.  Entry-level rate is $9.87 per hour.

Program Assistant - Residential

We have an immediate opening for a Program Assistant in our residential department.  Duties will include assisting the Residential Program Coordinator by maintaining core schedules for all ALUs; coordinating scheduling of staff in all ALUs; providing weekend on-call coverage per the monthly schedule and assisting in communicating progress, concerns and needs of individuals served to families, caregivers and other authorized persons or agencies.  We require a high school diploma or GED along with a clean criminal records and valid driver’s license with no more than 2 current points.  Excellent organizational and administrative skills are a must.
